Paycheck budget dashboard with left to budget, bills due, debt-free date and a debt-over-time chart

What it does

Budget by paycheck

Weekly, biweekly, every 4 weeks, twice a month or monthly, for up to two incomes. Each bill lands on the paycheck that pays it and you see what's left before payday.

Zero-based monthly budget

Plan bills, everyday spending, savings and debt until Left to budget hits zero. Plan vs actual per category fills in from your transactions.

Bill calendar

Every bill and payday on a month calendar, a sorted due list, paid ticks, and the monthly set-aside for quarterly and annual bills.

Debt snowball vs avalanche

Enter your debts once. See the debt-free date, months, total interest and interest saved for snowball, avalanche and minimums only, plus the payoff month of every debt.

Savings goals & sinking funds

Emergency fund, Christmas, car repairs, vacation: target, date, amount needed per month, per paycheck and an on-track check.

Dashboard & year overview

Income, left to budget, bills still to pay, savings, total debt, debt-free date, plan vs actual and a 12-month overview with charts.

Take a look inside

Your debt-free date, worked out for you

In the filled US example, a household with $39,690 of debt across two cards, a car loan, a student loan, a medical bill and a personal loan would need 117 months on minimum payments. With an extra $250 a month and the avalanche method, the planner shows them debt-free in 41 months and $5,781 less interest. Snowball gets them there in the same 41 months for $227 more interest, with a quicker first win. Put in your own balances, rates and minimums and see your numbers, month by month. FAQ

Does it work if I'm paid biweekly or weekly?Yes. Choose weekly, every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks, twice a month or monthly for up to two incomes. Enter one real payday and the planner lists every payday of the year, puts each bill on the right paycheck and flags the months with an extra paycheck.
What's the difference between debt snowball and avalanche?Snowball pays off the smallest balance first, so you get quick wins. Avalanche pays the highest interest rate first, which usually costs the least interest. The planner calculates both for your real debts, plus minimum payments only, and shows the debt-free date, total interest and interest saved for each, so you can pick.
Is it a zero-based budget?Yes. You plan bills, everyday spending, savings and debt payments until Left to budget reaches zero, so every dollar (or pound) has a job. Actual spending fills in from your Transactions tab.
Does it work in Google Sheets and on my phone?Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and choose File → Save as Google Sheets. You can then log spending in the free Google Sheets app on your phone. Excel 2016 or newer and Microsoft 365 work too. No macros.
Which currencies are included?A US dollar version, a British pound version and an any-currency version with plain number formatting that works for CAD, AUD, EUR, NZD or anything else. Plus a filled US example and a filled UK example.
Does it connect to my bank? No, and that's on purpose. Nothing is linked or uploaded; everything stays in your own file on your computer or your own Google Drive. You type or paste your transactions.
Is this financial advice? No. It's a budgeting and planning tool. Payoff dates and interest are estimates based on the numbers you enter. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified adviser or a free non-profit debt service.
Can I get a refund? You get the files immediately after payment. If a file is faulty or not as described, email us and we'll fix it or refund you.
How do I get the files?Right after payment you're taken to your download page and you receive a receipt by email. Problems? [email protected]

Not financial advice. This spreadsheet is a budgeting and planning tool. Payoff dates and interest are estimates based on the numbers you enter (fixed APRs, monthly interest, payments made on time); your lenders' figures may differ.
